“I’m committed to providing excellent dental care to enhance your overall health by helping you keep and maintain your teeth and gums in their best condition.”

Dr. Young Kim was born in Korea and came to the US at the age of 18. As a child, she was inspired by her Sunday school teacher, who was a student in dental school.

Another reason Dr. Kim was interested in dentistry? She used to have crooked front teeth, which bothered her, but dentistry transformed her confidence and oral health. In addition, Dr. Kim was always interested in short-term mission work and how dentistry was a very important part of that.

She’s married to Dr. Charles Kim, and together, they take pride in providing quality care and comfort to our patients at Gentle Smile Dentistry. The best part of her job is getting patients out of pain and helping them enjoy a better, more confident smile.

  • Interests outside of the office?

Dr. Kim enjoys playing pickleball and golf, and loves catching up with people over a coffee or meal. She also stays busy caring for her elderly parents and is learning Spanish through Duolingo.

  • Ultimate hero?

Her heroes are the VISTA mission leaders because even after retiring, they lead mission trips two to three times per year. During these trips, they selflessly provide dental and optical services to people in Mexico.
